Austrian Wappwolf is Americanized – From the Alps to Mountain View

Vienna, July 2011 – The thriving Austrian IT business Wappwolf is moving headquarters from Vienna to Silicon Valley in the U.S. Michael Eisler,  CEO and mastermind behind Wappwolf, says: “Preparations for founding a new holding located in the U.S. are currently in progress.” Austria’s Wappwolf GmbH will become the subsidiary of the newly-established Wappwolf Inc.

Harald Weiss, CFO at Wappwolf, premises: “While risk capital in Europe is almost dried-up, you not only get more willingness for taking risks in the States, but also more risk capital for innovations in the IT sector.” Weiss added that the biggest providers of web services can be found in the U.S. and that its market is a far more potent one that the Austrian, making establishing strategic partnerships all-round easier.

Automated Processing of Files
Wappwolf offers the sole worldwide platform for companies and private users to process their documents and data files automatically as part of a chain of processes known as ‘Actions’.
According to Weiss, the launch of Wappwolf products on the U.S. market is planned for the coming fall. “Feedback provided by American experts and investors at the world-renowned DEMO Conference in Silicon Valley was outstanding,” states CEO Eisler.

Integrated Dropbox Actions in Wappwolf
Actions are already integrated into Wappwolf with the web service Dropbox, which after the motto ‘automate your folder’ allows individual dropbox folders to connect to Wappwolf. “Through the built-in “Action Button”, we’ll be able to benefit from the user base of existing providers for many open-source systems of CRM, archiving, CMS systems, helpdesk providers etc.” says Eisler.

Wappwolf: One Click, Big Action
Wappwolf is bringing the use of ‘software as a service’ to a whole new level by revolutionizing the idea of so-called single solution ‘micro-apps’ – saving time, money and effort for businesses and private individuals. Wappwolf’s ‘Action Button’ facilitates the automation of repetitive tasks. Eisler states: „With just one click, documents are sent off to Wappwolf for processing – one click, big action.“

The platform expands its product range through iPhone, iPad and Android applications. Users are received right where their files are formed.
